At the North American International Auto Show in January 2015, Japanese premium brand Acura officially unveiled the new production sports car NSX - the successor to the legendary first-generation model that entered the market 25 years ago. The two-door car became one of the most anticipated premieres of the exhibition in Detroit, because its long-awaited appearance was accompanied by several years of development, a year and a half of tests on the roads and constant wanderings in various automobile shows in the form of concept cars.

The car not only turned out to be memorable inside and out, but also received a very original technique.

The Acura NSX looks amazing - a beautiful and powerful physique with a swift, aerodynamically adjusted outlines, daring lighting technology with LED filling, "muscular" hips and four "trunks" of the exhaust system.

The picture is completed by spectacular multi-size wheel rims of the original design, dressed in tires measuring 245/35 R19 at the front and 295/30 R20 at the rear.

The overall length of the Acura NSX is 4470 mm, its width does not exceed 1940 mm, and its height is 1215 mm. The supercar has a 2630 mm distance between the front and rear axles, and its ground clearance in the "combat" state reaches 110 mm.

The double interior "n-es-x" meets with an expensive design - genuine leather, which is sheathed not only on the armchairs, but also on the front panel with doors, as well as Alcantara and metal inserts.

The striking center console, enclosing a multimedia color screen and a "climate" unit, smoothly flows into a high floor tunnel that divides the salon into two cockpits with plush bucket seats.

The "pilot" is directly in charge of the relief multifunctional rudder, flattened at the top and bottom, and a modern digital "instrumentation" with a color TFT display.

Specifications. The Acura NSX has a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 75-degree V6 petrol unit longitudinally behind the seats, with 507 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, available from 2,000 to 6,000 rpm. ...
Between it and the 9-band preselective "robot" a 48-horsepower electric motor is implanted, which assists the internal combustion engine in the drive of the rear wheels and generates energy during braking.

The wheels of the front axle are driven by a pair of electric motors generating 36.5 "horses" and 73 Nm of torque, which not only know how to "play" the thrust vector in turns, but also work in the mode of generators.

The total potential of the hybrid power plant reaches 573 horsepower and 644 Nm of peak torque.

Such characteristics allow the sports car to "shoot" from a place to the first "hundred" in 3.8 seconds and accelerate to reach 306 km / h.

The Acura NSX is based on a space frame made of a combination of steel, aluminum and CFRP with high torsional rigidity. The body is cut from aluminum and composites, resulting in a coupe weighing 1,725 kg (axle weight distribution - 42:58 in favor of the rear).
Both axles are equipped with independent double wishbone suspension with magnetorheological fluid-filled adaptive dampers.
The powerful braking complex is represented by monoblock six-piston devices at the front and four-piston at the rear; carbon-ceramic "pancakes" are mounted on all wheels.
The steering system is supplemented by an electric amplifier, and from lock to lock the steering wheel makes only 1.91 revolutions.

The control electronics of the hybrid sports car includes four operating modes - Quiet, Sport, Sport + and Track. In the first NSX moves using "pure" electric traction, and in the rest, the settings of all major components and assemblies are automatically changed.

Options and prices. Acceptance of orders for the Acura NSX started at the beginning of 2016, and the United States became the first market for the model to enter (it is possible that it will appear in Russia as well).
The cost of a two-door sports car is about 150 thousand US dollars, and its basic equipment combines: six airbags, a dual-zone climate control, leather interior, full LED optics, a multifunction steering wheel, a multimedia center with a color screen and a lot of modern functions. The list of options includes a premium audio system, carbon fiber trim elements and other "chips".
