The German Association for Technical Inspection (TUV), which analyzes the results of vehicle inspection, has published the next results of the ranking of the most reliable cars. German and Japanese cars, in the new rating, again confirmed the title of the most reliable cars, because it was they who took almost all the first places in all categories.

But the last places in the ratings (ie the most unreliable cars), as in previous years, were taken by “Koreans”, “French” and “Italians”. The most unreliable and disgusting car model, TUV experts recognized the Kia Carnival. By the way, this model has long been in the last place in reliability ratings.
Let us remind that the objectivity and credibility of the TUV rating is ensured by the fact that it was formed on the basis of research data of more than 7 million vehicles. All cars in the rating are divided into groups by year of manufacture: 2-3 years, 3-5 years, 6-7 years, 8-9 years, 10-11 years. Of greatest interest, as statistics show, are car models that are 2-3 years old.

According to the TUV 2008 reliability rating, it turned out that the most reliable are two Mazda models at once - Mazda 3 - took the first place, and Mazda 2 - the second. The experts were pleasantly surprised by such a small percentage of malfunctions that were discovered during the inspection of these cars. Earlier, in the history of TUV, there has not yet been a case when two models of the same company at once received an estimate - less than 2% of breakdowns. But these Mazda models have even less than 1.5%! For comparison, the Kia Carnival has the worst result - 20.1%.

Many Russians who want to buy a used car will be interested in data on 4-5 year old cars. Of course, not everyone can buy a slightly used Porsche 911 (this model is the leader in the rating in this category), but Honda Jazz and Subaru Legacy are much more affordable and may interest Russian motorists. No need to buy, according to the rating, Chrysler Voyager (18.8% of breakdowns), Renault Laguna (22.3%) and, again, Kia Carnival (27.6%).
Toyota RAV4 is the leader among 6-7 year old cars, which, by the way, has excellent results in the categories of 8-9 years old and 10-11 years old. And again, Kia Carnival became the “smallest” one - 32.9% of breakdowns!

In general, see for yourself - in front of you is the top ten rating of used car reliability. For the continuation of the TUV 2008 rating, see the next page.
