Lifan X80 is a front-wheel drive SUV of a "mid-size" class with a seating formula "2 + 3 + 2" ... The "trump cards" of the car are solid design, roomy "apartments" and an attractive price tag, and the target audience is people who want to get a large and comfortable crossover but do not pay any attention to its "off-road potential" ...

The world debut of the flagship off-road vehicle of the Lifan brand took place in April 2015 at a car show in Beijing, but it did not appear on sale in its home market until March 2017.

And I must say that the Chinese car did not come out bad, both in terms of design and in terms of the technical component, but it was not without drawbacks - this is the lack of all-wheel drive.

Outside, Lifan X80 looks nice, modern and by no means budgetary, although in its outlines, if desired, you can find stylistic borrowings from the images of other cars (albeit not very explicit).

A solid facade with a huge chrome grille and a formidable "squint" of headlights, a presentable profile with expressive sidewalls, a billowing "window sill" and impressive wheel arches, a harmonious feed with graceful lanterns and two exhaust pipes - the designers of the Chinese brand clearly did their best.

"X-80" is a mid-size SUV with the corresponding outer dimensions: 4820 mm in length, of which 2790 mm is in the wheelbase, 1934 mm in width and 1760 mm in height. In the "stowed" form, the car weighs 1885 kg, and its gross weight does not exceed 2410 kg.

The interior of Lifan X80 will delight those who prefer traditional buttons and knobs, which can be found on the center console in dozens of pieces - they are entrusted with controlling the "music", air conditioning and even a multimedia system, the 8-inch screen of which does not respond to touch. A large multifunctional steering wheel and a modern dashboard with analog dials and a "window" of the on-board computer (in expensive versions, the "toolbox" is completely "drawn") fit perfectly into the "internal picture".

The decoration of the "Chinese" is cut with high-quality materials, diluted with wood-like inserts.

Seven seats are organized in the interior of the SUV, however, the third row of seats is modest here, and is suitable only for children (although this is a common thing for such cars). In the front, there are comfortable chairs with widely spaced side bolsters and a solid set of adjustments, and in the middle row there is a full-fledged sofa that moves along the slide in the longitudinal direction.

Even with a seven-seater layout, the trunk of the Lifan X80 is decent - about 580 liters when loaded under the ceiling. The seats of the second and third rows fit flush with the floor: in the first case, the capacity only slightly does not reach 1100 liters, and in the second, it exceeds 2100 liters.

Specifications. For a mid-size SUV, a single gasoline unit is offered - under its hood is a 2.0-liter (1984 cubic centimeters) in-line aluminum "four" with a turbocharger, 16-valve DOHC timing belt and direct injection system. It generates 192 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 286 Nm of torque at 1600-3600 rpm.

The engine works in conjunction with 6-speed gearboxes - "mechanics" or hydromechanical "automatic", which send all the potential to the front wheels (although in the future it is possible that an all-wheel drive version will appear).

The maximum crossover is capable of developing 180 km / h (how quickly it is gaining the first "hundred" is not reported), and in the combined mode it "digests" no more than 8.6 liters of fuel for every 100 km of run.

The Lifan X80 is based on a front-wheel drive "bogie", and its body consists of almost half of high-strength grades of steel. "In a circle" the car is equipped with independent suspensions: the front wheels are suspended by means of a system with McPherson struts, and at the rear - a multi-link architecture (in both cases - with transverse stabilizers, conventional springs and hydraulic shock absorbers).
By default, the five-door is equipped with a rack and pinion steering gear, supplemented by a power steering, and disc brakes on all wheels (ventilated on the front axle) with ABS, EBD and other "bells and whistles".

Options and prices. In the Chinese market, Lifan X80 is sold at a price of 109,900 yuan (~ 910 thousand rubles at the established rate). Its basic equipment includes: two airbags, alloy wheels, ABS, air conditioning, ESP, parking sensors, "music" with six speakers, a warning system about a dangerous approach to a neighboring car and some other "gadgets".
The maximum "packaged" configuration costs from 149,900 yuan (~ 1.24 million rubles). Among its privileges are: six airbags, one-zone "climate", a multimedia system, electric drive and heated front seats, a navigator, leather trim, an uphill start assist system, an electromechanical "handbrake", a sunroof, a digital instrument cluster and much more. ...
