The Chinese ZX Admiral pickup truck was presented to the public in 2001, at the same time it was launched on the home market. The car, which externally and internally resembles the fifth generation Toyota Hilux, went on sale in Russia in 2007, however, due to low demand, it briefly stayed in our country. The "truck" stood on the conveyor until 2009, after which it retired.
The Admiral with the Pickup attachment is a mid-size pickup truck available in two versions - with a single or double cab.
Depending on the solution, the length of the car is 4943-5178 mm, width - 1696-1717 mm, height 1655-1705 mm.
Between the axles of the "Chinese" there is a distance of 2850-3025 mm, and under its bottom you can see a gap of 191 mm.
The "combat" weight of the "truck" from the Celestial Empire ranges from 1380 to 1535 kg.
Specifications. The ZX Admiral Pickup had two engines to choose from.
- The first is a gasoline four-cylinder unit with 2.2-liter multipoint injection, developing 105 "horses" at 4600 rpm and 193 Nm of torque at 2600 rpm.
- The second is a turbodiesel 2.8-liter "four" with a direct power system, the output of which has 78 horsepower at 3600 rpm and 170 Nm of maximum thrust at 2000 rpm.
In the arsenal of transmissions - only 5-speed "mechanics", combined with rear or rigidly connected all-wheel drive.
The basis of the design of the ZX Admiral pickup is a ladder frame on which the body and engine are perched. An independent torsion bar suspension with a pair of wishbones and an anti-roll bar is mounted on the front of the car, a continuous axle with telescopic shock absorbers is suspended from leaf springs at the rear.
Braking is controlled by discs on the front and "drums" on the rear wheels. By default, the "Chinese" is equipped with a hydraulic booster integrated into the rack and pinion steering gear.
The list of advantages of the ZX Admiral Pickup includes a reliable frame structure, affordable cost, good cargo capabilities, good cross-country ability (on all-wheel drive versions), maintainability and low cost of spare parts.
The disadvantages of the car are considered to be poor build quality, high fuel consumption, low-power engines and poor soundproofing of the cabin.
Prices. In 2015, in the secondary market, the ZX Admiral pickup is offered, on average, at a price of ~ 450 thousand rubles.
